Linda began her journey in Long-Term Care as a Nursing Assistant before Certification was required. She went on to complete her LPN in 1981 through Gwinnett Career Center in Lawrenceville, GA. Linda continued her education and completed her Associate Degree in 1989 through Stanly Community College in Albemarle, NC. In 2019 she completed her Bachelor’s in Nursing through Chamberlain University’s online program.
Linda has an extensive history in Long Term Care, serving as DON, ADON, SDC, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, and Team Nurse, just to name a few. She also completed a brief period as Nurse Consultant during an EHR conversion in a Long-Term Care facility. Her current position is Transition RN with Carolina Senior Care PACE program (Program for All Inclusive Care of the Elderly). This allows her to continue her work with the elderly population (which some may say she is now a member of). Her current position entails working with participants at any time they are outside their home environment including ED, Hospital, STR, transition into Long-Term Care and hospice Liaison. She also assists them with return to the community when possible.
She is honored to represent the great state of North Carolina as Chapter President. She currently has certifications in CDONA, FACDONA and EFLA. She has taken the opportunity to complete multiple certifications through NADONA which has aided her to provide the highest quality of care to those she serves.
The majority of Linda’s nursing journey has been centered around providing Holistic care to the elderly. “God continues to instill a passion for caring within me and I plan to continue my journey as long as possible.” Her faith continues to guide her life personally and professionally.
Linda is the proud mother of two daughters and one son as well as mother-in-law to her oldest daughter’s husband and her son’s wife. Her family is expanding again with the pending wedding of her youngest daughter. In addition to her four grandchildren who make life an exciting journey. That number is growing as well, she added 1 grandson with the marriage of her son in October of 2023 and they are expecting a child in the spring of 2025.
